Producer
Background
Edouard Malbois graduated from EDHEC Lille in 1988. He studied systems thinking at MIT in Boston in 1999.[1]
Malbois spent much of his life abroad and worked for major luxury conglomerates. He held executive management positions at P&G Europe, LVMH Asia, Coca-Cola Africa and Havas Paris.[1]
In 2001 Malbois founded Enivrance in Paris and later expanded it to São Paulo and Singapore. Both Grands Jardins and an April 2026 interview describe it as the world's first agency of its kind, a food design or food styling studio. Through Enivrance he founded Food Studio Europe in 2003, the first European innovation lab for McDonald's Europe. In 2011 he moved to Brazil to establish the country's first global food competitiveness team.[1],[2]
In 2012 Malbois was named ambassador of Design Thinking to the government of Singapore. A September 2023 interview put his product and service innovation missions in the food sector at approximately 150. Grands Jardins also credits him with founding the first laboratory dedicated to the informal food sector and with publishing books on global food trends as part of a team.[1]
In 2019 Malbois created Utopia Hackers, an agency dedicated to utopian transformation. He co-wrote 'Les Rituels en Entreprise', published by Editions Eyrolles in 2022.
Role & Contribution
Malbois co-founded Grands Jardins, which serves cold-brewed tea in the manner of wine. Its stated aim is to offer every table in the world a new ritual of tea served like wine. In a March 2026 broadcast, the presenter credited Malbois, described as a wine enthusiast, with the idea for Grands Jardins as an alternative to wine, including in fine dining. Grands Jardins launched in January 2023.[3]
The Good Life reports that Malbois frames tea and wine as complementary rather than as replacements for one another. Grands Jardins presents its teas in Burgundy bottles. Malbois has explained that choice as "because we love Burgundy."[4]
