Beyond Wine Privacy Notice

Effective 2026-10-02

Beyond Wine is operated by Lyssa Ventures LLC, a Florida company. This notice covers our website, Ask feature, API and AI connections, newsletter and related support communications. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

What we record

  • Website use. Our servers and network providers process technical request information, including network addresses, requested pages, timestamps, client software and success or error status.
  • Ask. We record accepted questions and returned answers in detail, together with conversation identifiers, a derived network-address identifier and technical information about processing. Relevant questions and conversation context are sent to our AI provider to generate answers. Requests rejected before admission are counted in aggregate rather than retained as full Ask conversation records.
  • AI connections and API.For AI connection requests, we record lookup inputs and returned results, along with technical request information. Direct API usage records identify the service key, endpoint, request time and usage cost. An AI connection does not require a separate Beyond Wine account or request your assistant's full conversation history. Text your assistant includes in a lookup can reach and be recorded by our service. The network address may belong to your AI provider rather than your device. Direct API registration collects the email address and name supplied by the registering party.
  • Newsletter. We store email addresses, signup source, consent and confirmation records, subscription status, and approximate city and country when supplied by our network provider. We also process delivery, bounce, complaint and unsubscribe information. Confirmed signup details may appear in private operational notifications.
  • Support and reference information. We receive information you send us by email. Our reference profiles also contain professional information about people, drawn from sources supporting the catalogue.

Please do not include passwords, payment details, identity documents or sensitive health information in Ask questions or AI lookup requests.

How we use it

We use these records to provide the service, analyze usage and demand, identify gaps in the catalogue, improve reference information and answers, investigate errors, enforce service limits and protect the service. We record service interactions comprehensively for these purposes. Query text and technical information may be copied into internal reports and job logs. We use newsletter information to manage subscriptions and communications, and support information to respond to requests.

Who receives it

Authorized Beyond Wine operators and service providers supporting hosting, network security, AI processing, email, private operational notifications, storage and backups may process relevant information. These include Anthropic for website Ask, Resend for newsletter email and Telegram for private signup notifications. Providers may process information outside your country.

AI connection results are returned to your chosen assistant. That provider handles your conversation and the results under its own privacy terms. Removing our connection does not delete records held by your AI provider.

Retention

Accepted Ask questions and answers are retained indefinitely for ongoing analysis and improvement, unless deleted in response to an applicable request or another operational decision. Other service records may remain in logs, internal reports, database records and backups beyond an individual session. There is no single automatic deletion period across these stores; rotating a technical log does not remove copies held elsewhere.

Newsletter consent, subscription and suppression records may be retained after an unsubscribe to preserve subscription history and prevent unwanted email. Expiry of a confirmation link does not by itself delete its record. Closing an Ask session or removing an AI connection does not automatically delete earlier service records.

Your choices and requests

You can stop future Ask submissions by not using Ask, remove or disable an AI connection in your assistant, and unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter email. You can also contact us about your subscription.

Where applicable law gives you rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict its use, or object to processing, contact [email protected]. For interaction records, include approximate dates and enough lookup context to help locate them. Do not send passwords or identity documents. We may need to verify that records relate to you; without a separate user account, we may be unable to associate a particular lookup with you. We assess requests under applicable law, including any relevant exceptions and records held in backups.

Changes

We may update this notice as the service changes and will update the effective date. Rules for reuse of catalogue content are set out in our Data License. Service use is covered by our Terms of Use.
