Pairings
Gion Yamaguchi, Kyoto. Queen of Blue Imperial was served as part of a food pairing at the Gion restaurant Yamaguchi in Kyoto, one of a series of Royal Blue Tea "Tea Banquet" collaborations.
General. Royal Blue Tea describes the Premium grade as pairing well with any dish.[2]
Provenance & Sourcing
Production. Royal Blue Tea handles development, manufacturing, and sales in-house, producing its bottled teas by non-heat extraction, non-heat filtration, and aseptic filling, with most of the work done by hand in a clean room. The company states its bottled teas contain no additives. Royal Blue Tea bottles are sealed with a Vino-Lok glass stopper made by Alcoa Germany rather than cork, which allows repeated resealing and eliminates cork taint.
Production Philosophy
Name. Royal Blue Tea refers to Queen of Blue as the "Lady of Tea," a designation the producer also applies to Oriental Beauty tea itself.[1]
