AMA No. 405 — Organic White Tips

AMA No. 405 is handcrafted with white tips tea.^[1]

Cui Min (White Tips) White Tea — Aromatic Base. The white tea is Cui Min, known as White Tips, grown on the Qingshan peninsula in the Wuqiangxi reservoir, in China's Hunan province. The plantings sit at 750 metres elevation on a mountainous island reachable only by boat, across 141 hectares of certified organic land.^[1]

Appearance. Pale straw in colour, with gentle, persistent bubbles.^[1]

Nose. Aromas of pear, violet and papaya, with soft bubblegum and white tea.^[1]

Palate. Floral sweetness and candied fruit carried by vibrant acidity.^[1]

Ingredients Policy. The Qingshan tea farm operates under Fairbiotea guidelines, with managers trained in Demeter and UTZ standards. It has developed its own composting systems, livestock-based fertilisation and on-site infrastructure for soil management.^[1]

Farm Community. Around 165 people live on the Qingshan peninsula, 85 of them working full-time or seasonally in tea cultivation and processing, and approximately 200 local households contribute during harvest. AMA reports that the farm supports local education, including access to the Xiaojiaqiao school for children of tea-growing families.^[1]
