For its kombucha production, KOMBUSTACHE cultures its SCOBY in sweetened black tea, away from light and impurities. The culture floats on the surface of the liquid during fermentation, which the producer credits with giving the kombucha its fizz.

Ingredients Policy. La Veuve Pourpre is certified ECOCERT organic. KOMBUSTACHE has held organic certification from the French body ECOCERT since 2021, renewed annually, and describes its products as 100% vegan, made solely from plants, fruits and roots.^[1]

La Veuve Pourpre took a Silver medal at the World Alcohol-Free Awards in London in 2024. At the 2023 edition of the same competition it received a Commended recognition.^[3],[4]
