Composition & Vinification

Oriental Beauty (Dongfang Meiren) — Base Leaf. Queen of Blue Deluxe is made from Dongfang Meiren (Oriental Beauty), a top-grade Taiwanese oolong. The raw material is hand-picked only once a year in summer, using only naturally fermented young buds. The insect-bitten leaves yield a flavor close to black tea but free of astringency, with a clean sweetness and a sweet aroma reminiscent of fruit and honey.[1]

Mount Fuji Spring Water — Extraction Water (Mishima Bottle). The Queen of Blue Deluxe Mishima Bottle is made with pure, crystal-clear spring water from the foothills of Mount Fuji.[2]

Tasting Profile

Nose. The Shonan Label of Queen of Blue Deluxe carries an elegant, sweet, mellow honey aroma attributed to the leafhopper's effect on the leaves. More broadly, the tea shows a sweet aroma reminiscent of fruit and honey, alongside a sweet, noble character.[3]
