Palate. Kukicha shows soft grassiness and an underlying salinity reminiscent of sencha. Fermentation draws out juicy tropical fruit notes typical of stem teas.^[1]

Kukicha is a fermented tea from Unified Ferments, the Brooklyn producer founded by Young Stowe and Graham Pirtle, built as a green tea expression made from stem tea — kukicha — leaves. It was created in collaboration with Kettl, a Japanese tea importer based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.^[1]
