Mindful Sparks

Mindful Sparks was founded by Winston Lau. Lau was recognized among Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia's 2025 Young Visionaries.^[1]

Mindful Sparks names several of its bottlings after cultural and philosophical references rather than after their flavors alone. ANICCA is a sparkling tea whose Western tea blend is inspired by the concept of impermanence, reflecting the idea that life is ever-changing. Sparkling Dragon Pearl Jasmine Tea takes its name from the traditional Chinese tale "Two Dragons and the Golden Pearl".

Mindful Sparks produces sparkling teas. The core lineup includes Sparkling Yuzu Genmaicha, Sparkling Osmanthus Golden Oolong, Sparkling Dragon Pearl Jasmine Tea and Sparkling White Peach Earl Grey, alongside Sparkling Lemon Oolong Tea, Sparkling Coffee Cacao Husks Tea, Sparkling Yuzu Genmaicha Ceremonial Matcha and Noble Truth Cranberry Rose Sparkling Tea. Sparkling White Peach Earl Grey is classified by the producer as a Prestige grade sparkling tea, and Noble Truth Cranberry Rose Sparkling Tea is caffeine-free.^[1]

Multi-tea vintage blending. The 2025 releases are assembled from four teas of differing styles and harvests. GUAN 2025 specifies each component's vintage and origin.

• GUAN 2025 — Yu Hua green tea (Spring 2023, Nanjing), Taoyuan Raw Tea Brick (Spring 2016, Mount Bulang), Dong Ding Oolong (Spring 2023, Sun Link Sea) and Moonlight White tea (Spring 2023, Mount Laowu)
• ZING 2025 — Moonlight White tea, Dong Ding Oolong, Taoyuan Raw Tea Brick and Yu Hua tea, the last a Spring 2023 green tea from Nanjing

Three-layered process. Sparkling Osmanthus Golden Oolong Tea is produced using a three-layered process that results in a sparkling tea described as refreshing and light in flavor.

Bergamot juice in place of bergamot oil. ANICCA uses pure bergamot juice rather than bergamot oil, which the producer frames as an elevation of the classic Earl Grey tea experience. The juice is Italian, and it is combined with Earl Grey tea and French white peach purée.

Upcycling. Sparkling Coffee Cacao Husks Tea is made with cacao husks, a by-product of cacao, making it an upcycled tea.

Appearance. Color across the range runs from pale to dark. Sparkling Yuzu Genmaicha pours greenish yellow and its Ceremonial Matcha counterpart a champagne hue; Sparkling Lemon Oolong Tea is golden yellow, Sparkling Dragon Pearl Jasmine Tea and Sparkling Osmanthus Golden Oolong Tea golden, and Sparkling White Peach Earl Grey golden-orange. Noble Truth Cranberry Rose Sparkling Tea shows a soft blush pink, ANICCA an amber hue, GUAN 2025 a burnished copper, and Sparkling Coffee Cacao Husks Tea a deep brown.

Finish. Several bottlings are described with a crisp, clean close: Sparkling Lemon Oolong Tea with lingering citrus, Sparkling Yuzu Genmaicha with lingering citrus and roasted notes, the Ceremonial Matcha version with yuzu zest and a gentle roasted aftertaste, Noble Truth Cranberry Rose Sparkling Tea with lingering floral and berry, and Sparkling Osmanthus Golden Oolong Tea with a gentle hint of osmanthus. Sparkling Dragon Pearl Jasmine Tea finishes on jasmine and juicy apricot with a touch of honey warmth and a refreshing effervescent close.

Pairing. Pairings are given bottle by bottle. Sparkling Yuzu Genmaicha is directed at seafood and salads, complementing grilled fish and fresh salad ingredients, while its Ceremonial Matcha version is proposed for traditional Japanese cuisine — grilled fish and shellfish, and meats such as roasted chicken or pork. Sparkling Osmanthus Golden Oolong Tea is suggested with grilled fish and with pastries and fruit tarts, and Sparkling White Peach Earl Grey with seafood, salads and fruity tarts. Noble Truth Cranberry Rose Sparkling Tea is aimed at cold dish appetizers and tart desserts, including shrimp cocktails and salads. ANICCA is placed with Western poultry, beef and vegetable dishes, enhancing roasted chicken, balancing the richness of beef and elevating vegetable preparations.

Four Mindful Sparks bottlings were recognized at the 2026 World Alcohol-Free Awards. Sparkling White Peach Earl Grey took a Gold medal and won the Best Halal Drink trophy. Sparkling Yuzu Genmaicha received a Bronze medal, and both Sparkling Dragon Pearl Jasmine Tea and Sparkling Osmanthus Golden Oolong Tea received Commended recognition.
